2002 Kone Corporation acquires Partek

Partek had assured that it will take good care of its Valtra tractors. But the corporation value was smaller than that of its components and Kone Corporation acquired Partek in 2002.

During the ownership by Kone Valtra was able to enlarge the Suolahti factory premises in order to increase manufacturing capacity. In autumn 2003 the production of the 500.000th Valmet- and Valtra tractor was celebrated.

In summer 2003 Kone announced that it would divest its tractors and forest machines business.

The Valtra T Series was launched in 2002.

Valtra S Series got recognition as Tractor of the Year 2003.

The 500.000th tractor left production in 2003.
