In January 2010, Valtra do Brasil celebrated its 50th year of operation, with 1,300 guests being invited to Mogi das Cruzes. Beside enjoying the social events, the invitees showed keen interest in the exhibition of historical models and the Valtra brand's most recent top achievements, such as the Versu and Direct models.

The Suolahti plant has always been one of the world's finest tractor factories. Valtra has been ahead of its time in many respects – even as a company. Furthermore, Valtra has been determined to maintain that lead. Many major development projects were started at the plant. One of them already materialised in the summer of 2010: the assembly plant 'supermarket' – the collecting of parts for each of the individual Valtra tractors ordered by customers. The high shelves previously located after the paint shop have been tipped on their side, and, when arranged perpendicular to the assembly line, they constitute a part and component 'supermarket' from where the parts belonging to each tractor can be collected.

The assembly team members move between different assembly stages, as required by the work in hand. Each team has one collector who loads carts at the 'supermarket' in accordance with the customer order. These carts automatically carry the parts of each tractor to their rightful locations along the line, thus leaving assembly persons free to focus on the assembly work, instead of scouring for parts and components.
