SCR engine technology

AGCO Sisu Power chose SCR technology (Selective Catalytic Reduction) to reduce emissions

The S Series was the first in the agricultural machinery industry to present SCR engine technology. The SCR (Selective Catalytic Reduction) is a technology used in trucks to reduce nitrogen oxides in exhaust gases by spraying the gases with a urea-based additive, AdBlue. The tractor featured a 51-litre AdBlue tank, and the intake of AdBlue was around 3 per cent of fuel consumption. For the user, SCR technology had many advantages, as it reduced fuel consumption by 10 per cent and enabled power increases without increasing the thermal load. SCR technology was launched to T3 Series models at the beginning of 2011.
